We Don’t Work with Menzgold: NHIA

The head of communication of the National Health Insurance Scheme NHIS has turndown claims of the institution having an investment at Menzgold. Mr. Barima Sarpong in an interview with Neat FM said “it is not true that we have investments at Menzgold as stated in Daily Post”.

Mr. Sarpong disclosed that, “on the 28^th September, there was a publication on social media that NHIS is working with Menzgold and we released a press statement to that effect stating categorically facts to disprove it all”.

“We are surprised with the publication by Daily Post” he added.

Mr. Sarpong speaking on recent development in the sector, he said 166 District Offices have received all resources and logistics to effectively distribute NHIA cards to costumers after some period of card shortages

He disclosed measures of incorporating all membership details into the Ghana Card issued by the National Identification Authority NIA.

Accordingly. we will not issue cards anymore to members and this will save us money and time, he said.

Mr. Sarpong urged Ghanaians to patronize the Ghana Card since it is a good policy to formalize the Ghana economy.
