I Never Asked Mahama To Step Down: Kenneth Dzirasah
The
Former Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament has spoken on the allegation of
asking the former president not to contest the National Democratic Congress NDC flag-bearer ship race but said it was a suggestion.
The
former Member of Parliament for South Tongu said “since John Dramani Mahama has
been president before, there is the need to keep his integrity as former gentleman
of the country and avoid being wrongfully spoken to because competition.”
Hon
Kenneth Dzirasah said, “the nature of how politics is practiced in the country,
it will be a deplete of respect to a former president since every utterance
would be subjected to critics from people who could not have spoken back at him
under normal scenario”
He
urged John Dramani Mahama to rather sit back, observe and help prepare a new
candidate to lead the party in the 2020 general election.
“Governance
is a continuous process so I do not agree with him saying he has an unfinished
business to complete” He added
Hon
Kenneth Dzirasah speaking on the General Secretary position said, “Johnson
Assiedu Nketsia is the best candidate the party needs despite his experience from
opposition to power and now back into opposition”
He
however, pleaded with Koku Anyidoho not to contest the General Secretary race but
retain his current position as the deputy general secretary.
“I know Koku is able but at this current dispensation, we
need one with ready attitude and experienced to bring the party back into power”
he said.
Hon Dzirasah called on all party members to unite and support
whoever leads the party in the general election come 2020.
Yea I agree with Kenneth he is not wrong I think Mahama should take his suggestion its a good one
