GOVERNANCE IS NOT WEIGHT LIFTING BUT COMPITENCE AND EXPERINCE. Maxwell Kofi Jumah
Governance is about experience and exposure to the reality of world economic growth and relations and not weight lifting or sporting activities. Maxwell Kofi Jumah, CEO of GIHOC Distilleries Company LTD.
This he said in relation to the recent reactions of the
youths of the New Patriotic Party advocating for the elimination of most old
people in major positions of both state and commercial enterprises.
In an interview with Accra based NEAT FM morning show, the
former Asokwa Constituency Member of Parliament said,
“I have served under the various post and handled obligations
both in the country and abroad and with time, I have gained experience that
aids me in decision making.”
“They are wrong to say we are old and should be put on the
backburner to allow them, who are with little familiarity and capabilities to
take over.”
Mr. Jumah said the Nana Addo government is a concoction of
both old and young individuals and I entreat the youths calling for this action
to acknowledge this and come again.
I urge them to rather respect and hit the books from the
adults in position and stopover undermining their proficiency, acquaintance,
and expertise.
Former Kumasi Mayor concluded that what youth group is calling
for do not hold water but reasonably, they should be submissive and mug up from
us the old ones in position then they can be in position one day to lead.
