NSS Certificate, A Must Have: Henry Nana Boakye

National Service Scheme to embark on verification of certificates of workers in public and private institutions nationwide.

Henry Nana Boakye, the deputy director of the National Service Secretariat (NSS) said during a panel discussion on Peace FM, KoKoKroo morning show with Kwame Sefa Kayi. He stressed the need for every qualified personnel to serve the nation and it is constitutionally mandatory.

“It is mandatory to serve the nation and failure to do so, is an offense to the State”

The Scheme will embark of this exercise to identify workers in both public and private workplaces who have not acquired the NSS certificate to face the law.

Nana Boakye added that, both the employer and the employee have committed an offence if there was no check for National Service Certificate during the employment process.

Speaking on his political position as the National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party and his current Deputy Director position at NSS which constitutionally it is not accepted, Nana Boakye said, “all necessary steps are being taken by authorities and that a communique will be issued.”
